What is 'Report This' used for?
If you discover any content that is questionable or violates the
Terms of Use, we encourage you and other community members to report this content using the 'Report This' link.
Using 'Report This' allows any visitor to submit their concerns about content found on the site quickly and confidentially, and we will investigate it as soon as possible. You do not need to be a member of the community in order to report content.
Can I report criticism?
Please do not report content simply because you disagree with what is said, or if someone criticizes your favourite books, authors, publishers or booksellers; or even your personal ideas and comments.
What happens when I report content?
If we encounter conflicts and misrepresentations within the community when conducting investigations of these reports, we will attempt to communicate privately and directly to the person(s) involved. We take all reports seriously and use the
Terms of Use to direct our decision whether to remove content.
Can I report another community member?
Yes, both people (profiles) and content can be reported as inappropriate. Thoughtful discourse, debate and dissent are welcome and in fact necessary for a living, breathing community. But please - never forget that the person on the other side is human. If you're upset by something or someone, try to calm down before responding, or better yet, if you feel it is inappropriate or in violation of our site’s Terms of Use, report the post to the community administrator so that we may investigate this matter.
