What are top ten lists?
A Top Ten List is a list of items put together by a member of the chapters.indigo.ca
community. Lists can be created on just about any topic, and can include just
one product type, or can be a mix of books, music, DVDs, toys and more.
For example, you could create a list called "Best Mystery Books", which
would contain your favourite mystery books. Or, you could create a list titled "The
Best of Everything Harry Potter", which could include Harry Potter toys,
movies, soundtracks and books.
Who is able to see my lists?
You determine who is able to see your lists. Use the privacy setting feature to mark lists as public, friends-only or private. To Edit Privacy & Email Alerts, sign into your profile and use the link called "edit Privacy & Email Alert Settings" located in the left-hand column below the area which has your interests and your photograph.
How do I create a list?
To create and publish lists, select the "create a top ten list" link
located beneath the image of the item on the product page. Or sign into your
profile and select the "create a list" link in the lists section.
How do I edit a list?
You can create an unlimited number of lists, and making changes is easy. When
you start a new list review the preview displayed to the right of the required
field. If you notice anything you’d like to change feel free to make changes,
and select “Publish List” once you’re satisfied with all of your changes. To
edit a previously published list, simply select “edit”. Edit will re-open the
list for editing, and enable you to re-publish your list once the edits are complete.
The changes you made to your list will be seen immediately.
How do I remove a list?
Sign into your profile, select the "edit" link in the list section
and use the "delete" link associated with the list you would like
to remove.
How do I add a comment to a list?
You may comment on a list you've written or another members' list
by selecting the "add a comment" link associated with the post. Any
member of the community may add a comment to a list you have written, provided
you have marked that list as public.
How do I delete a comment I've added to a list?
If you decide to remove a comment you’ve added to a list, simply select the ‘delete’ link located below the comment.
What is the maximum and minimum number of items I need to publish a list?
Lists are limited to a maximum of ten items and a minimum of 3 items for publication.
Can I stop others from leaving comments on my lists?
You can manage who is able to submit comments to the lists you create through your privacy settings. The ‘Everyone’ setting will allow anyone; including non-community members, to view and comment on your lists. ‘My Friends’ is a setting that limits your those who see and comment on your lists to only the community members you’ve accepted as friends on your profile. ‘Myself’ is a private setting which limits your content to be seen by you only.
Can I remove comments from my lists?
If you decide to remove a comment added to a list you’ve created, simply select ‘delete’ located below the comment.
