Using Electronic Gift Certificates

Chapters.indigo.ca electronic gift certificates are a fast, convenient way to make purchases online. Plus, we keep track of any unused portion for future visits - it's like money in the bank! And redeeming them is easy:

You will unfortunately not be able to redeem electronic gift certificates when placing an order using the Checkout without an Account option. You will need to use or create an online account in order to redeem an electronic gift certificate.

Depositing your gift certificate:

• When you're finished shopping and have everything you want in your "Shopping Bag", click "Begin Checkout".
• If this is your first time shopping on chapters.indigo.ca, you'll need to Create an Account. If you already have an account, then Sign-In.
• Once you've signed-in, you will arrive at the "Savings" page. Here you'll find your current online account balance, including any unused portion of a previous gift certificate or gift card.
• Click "Deposit a Gift Certificate", then simply copy and paste or type your electronic gift certificate number from your gift certificate email into the blank field and hit "Deposit Gift Certificate". Your account balance will reflect your new deposit, as well as any unused portion of previous gift certificates or gift cards.
• On the "Payment" page, select the "Use My Account Balance" box as your payment method. Remember, if your Online Account Balance doesn't cover your order total, you'll be prompted to enter a valid credit card number to make up the difference.

What if I have more than one electronic gift certificate?

• Simply return to the "Savings" page and repeat the above steps for each gift certificate. You'll see a corresponding increase in your account balance.
• When you've finished depositing your electronic gift certificates, click "Return To Savings" to proceed with your purchase.

How do I apply my gift certificates to my purchase?

• After you've deposited your gift certificates into your online account, you will have an account balance credit. To use your account balance to pay for an order, check "Use My Account Balance" on the payment page during checkout. If your online account balance doesn't cover the total cost of your order, you'll be prompted to enter a valid credit card to cover the difference.

Can I use my online gift certificate at a Chapters, Indigo or Coles store?

Chapters.indigo.ca electronic gift certificates are only valid for online purchases, and unfortunately cannot be redeemed in-store.
