You can now redeem your gift card in your "my cart"

In the payment section you will be able to redeem your gift card while placing an order. You will still need to have an Online account in case we have to return the amount used on the card if your order is cancelled. This amount is returned to your Online Account.

Checking Out

You can now use multiple gift cards when placing an order. Simply enter the first gift card and pin number in the payment page where it indicates gift card deposit. If completely used then the option to add another gift card appears. Simply click "add" and enter the next gift cards number and pin. This will continue until the order is paid for by gift cards. If you have no more gift cards then continue with check out.

If the order is paid for completely by a gift card and there is balance remaining on the last gift card used it will remain on the gift card.

In the payment summary on the right hand side of the screen it will show you the gift cards used and amount used from each gift card and if there is a remainder on the card

How do I use my Gift Card?

A Gift Card can be used in the check out process in "my cart" or you can deposit it directly into your Online account - your choice! How does it work? You transfer funds from your Gift Card to your secure Online Account Balance which is tied to your chapters.indigo.ca Online Account.
If you have a reloadable Gift Card (one with no fixed dollar value printed on the Gift Card face), you can transfer money from your Online Account Balance back to your Gift Card. However, if your Gift Card has a dollar value printed on the front (i.e. $25, $50 or $100), you can only transfer up tp that amount into out of the gift card. In order to know how much to transfer to your Online Account, look at your order’s current total in the Order Summary box on the upper right-hand side of the Payment Page.
Note: a minimum of $5 may be transferred at a time.

Paying for orders with your Gift Card

If you want to pay for your purchases using your Gift Card in the payment page during check out as noted abouve or you can transfer funds from your Gift Card into your Online Account Balance.

• The "Payment" page during Checkout will indicate your current Online Account Balance which is any unused portion of a previously deposited gift certificate or Gift Card.
• To transfer funds from your Gift Card to your Account, click the "Transfer Gift Card Balance" button. You'll be taken to the "Gift Cards" page; click "Transfer Gift Card Balance" again.
• Enter your Gift Card number (which will start with 60, gift cards purchased from third parties will have 11 digits in front of the 60 these need to be omitted when entering the card number.), PIN and the dollar amount to be transferred. In the field titled "Transfer From:", select "Gift Card to Online Account" using the drop down menu. Then select the "Transfer Gift Card Balance" button again to complete the transfer of funds into your Online account.
• Select the "Use My Account Balance" box as your payment method. Remember, if your Online Account Balance doesn't cover your order total, you'll be prompted to enter a valid credit card number to make up the difference.

Transferring funds from your Online Account back to your Gift Card

If your Gift Card is of a fixed value, that is there a dollar value printed on the card, unfortunately, you will not be able to transfer funds back to your card.

If you have a reloadable Gift Card, you can move funds from your online account back to your Gift Card for use in any Chapters Indigo Store. To do so:

• Sign-in to your Account, click "Gift Cards", then "Transfer Gift Card Balance".
• Enter your Gift Card number, PIN and the amount you'd like to transfer (minimum $5.00) to your Gift Card. In the "Transfer From" area, select "Online Account to Gift Card".

Checking your Gift Card balance

• Sign-in to your "Account Centre", click "Gift Cards", then click "Check Remaining Balance".
• Enter your Gift Card number and PIN, then click "Check Balance".

Transfer funds from your gift card now to your Online Account
