Your readers want to know more about you. Update the About Me section in your profile, tell us about:
- the book(s) you've written,
- the places you've travelled
- the writing process
- why you became a writer
- why you joined the Indigo Community
- what frustrates you when you're writing
- your favourite genre to write
- where you grew up
- where you live now
- anything you want to tell us
- Add to your bookshelf: your favourite genre to read, first book you remember reading, your favourite books, books you read to your kids.
- Add to your music shelf: favourite music to listen to while driving, writing, exercising, to dance to, entertaining friends, favourite music from your childhood.
- Add to your DVD shelf: favourite TV shows, movies, instructional DVDs, exercise DVDs, book to film adaptations.
Create a list: writers who have influenced your work, books that have inspired you as a writer, books that you wish you had written, movies that inspire you, movies that always make you laugh, movies that always make you cry.
Create a post to showcase your work: add your book to your posts, add pictures of you and your family, add videos of book signings, start a daily diary.
Don't be shy; add colleagues and fans as friends and favourites. You can connect with colleagues using the "Find Friends" search feature. The item page for your book will display community members who have reviewed your work or included it in a Top Ten List.
It's okay to create your own fan club and add your book(s) to your post – some authors have done it already. Meet new friends by creating a group dedicated to your favourite genre. Network with colleagues by creating a private group to discuss writing styles or network with community members by joining a group.
Recommend the work that inspires you: as a writer, a parent, a scholar, a reader - and include a comment about why it inspires you.
