Why isn't my book listed on the chapters.indigo.ca website?
If your book is currently distributed in Canada and you can't find it on our site, it's best to contact your publisher directly - all listing information is sent to us directly from publishers and/or distributors.
My book listing on your site isn't entirely accurate - how do I change it?
Since the book listing information is sent to us directly from publishers and/or distributors, we receive and post periodic updates as supplied. Double check with your publisher or distributor to ensure they have supplied the correct information. You can also send corrections directly to us at
masterdata@indigo.ca.
My book listing on your site is missing a cover scan, description, author's notes, or other information - how can I have it added?
We may not have received this information in the electronic file sent to us by your publisher or distributor, so we recommend that you contact them. You can also find out how to submit these product details by contacting us at
masterdata@indigo.ca.
My book is currently in print, but is listed as being unavailable - what's the problem?
Product availability depends on a variety of factors: inventory information supplied by your publisher or distributor, reprint dates, stock on hand in our distribution centre, etc. Often, books shown as "temporarily unavailable" come back in stock quickly. If your publisher or distributor has your title in stock, but it is listed on our site as unavailable, please encourage them to contact us at
masterdata@indigo.ca for details on updating inventory information.
Why isn't my book available to ship in 24 hours?
Titles not stocked at our distribution centre may not be available for immediate shipping.
If my book is self-published, can I list it on your site?
We can list you book provided that you or your distributor has a Valid Vendor Account with Indigo. If you do not have an account we encourage you to contact an established book distributor. Visit the
Procurement section of our website if you would like to learn more about how this process works.
How do I arrange an in-store book signing event?
We're always interested in promoting the works of budding authors and seasoned veterans through our in-store book-signing events. If you're a published author and are considering an in-store book signing, please e-mail the Director of Events, Jeremy Cammy at
jcammy@indigo.ca for further information.
You'll need to include:
- Your name
- Title, ISBN & Publisher
- Region(s) and specific stores of interest to you (see our store locator)
- Preferred timing for the event
- Details of your marketing plan or other communication efforts to promote your in-store appearance.

Remember - the more thorough you are, the more successful the event will be!
Once we receive your e-mail, we'll contact you within 2 weeks to let you know whether or not we will be able to schedule your event.
