Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You?

by Seuss

Random House Children's Books | August 12, 1970 | Picture Books

Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You? is rated 5 out of 5 by 7.
Kids will love this noise-filled Bright and Early Book classic from the one and only Dr. Seuss! Mr. Brown is a sound-making wonder! He can hoo hoo like an owl and buzz buzz like a bee. It is so much fun to make noises that you hear every day, like moo and tick-tock. But stranger sounds are fun to make, too . . . like the pip of a goldfish kiss and the grum grum of a hippo chewing gum. Encouraging imaginative play while learning to read, Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You? will keep kids laughing (when they’re not tick-tocking).

Combining brief and funny stories, easy words, catchy rhythm, and lively illustrations, Bright and Early Books are an ideal way to introduce the joys of reading to children.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First favourite! This was my son's first favourite book, probably by around 8 months of age.  Now he's 2 and this book is still regularly requested, even with his much-expanded library.  It has great rhymes, great animal noises and other sound effects that he loves to join in on.  Even adults who are new to kids books can quickly get into this one.  Love it.  I buy it as gifts now for other new parents.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love it! We love this book. It's very entertaining, easy to read, and just plain fun. My 4 month old son loves it. He can sit through 2-3 readings of this book at a time. He listens attentively and loves the bright illustrations! We have many early reading books for him and this is by the far our favourite :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adorable book that made my kids ENJOY thunderstorms Has your kid ever freaked out at thunder and lightning? Well, Mr Brown saved us from that since Mr Brown makes thunder ("boom boom boom Mr Brown makes thunder") and lightning ("splatt splatt splatt and its very very hard to make a noise like that!"). The result of this fun book was that my kids weren't scared. The rest of the book is fun too and it didn't make me go insane to read like some kids books!!! GREAT BOOK, I highly recommend!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A favourite! My children, now grown with children of their own, absolutely loved this book. In fact, I can still tell you the entire story of Mr. Brown and how he can moo. The true test for any book is its longevity. There is a new volume in each of my three children's homes for my grandchildren to "learn how to moo".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Truly Wonderful Dr. Seuss Book A great book for new readers; they'll just love the wonderful things Mr. Brown can do. I read this book once to my 5-year old, and in under 2 days, a boy who could barely read 3-letter words, was reading this book cover to cover to his 3-year old sister, and loving it! Definitely *****.
