Covey touches on topics from running a business, improving a business to teaching children and building a strong family. His lessons can be tailored for many situations. This one is a double reader-at least, to really get what he is saying ingrained into you head. Turn it into a habit!

How do we consciously live the lives we want to lead? We need to clarify our values, the roles we play in our lives, and we need to set goals. A mission statement and written goals are very powerful ways to stay focussed. This marvelous book written in a conversational style with plenty of examples and illustrations will help you establish your mission, roles and goals.

The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People is a great book that can help you get your life organized and under control. Stephen Covey has such an insightful vision to how the human mind works!

This is a thought-provoking book based on clear principles that can guide us in managing our time. There are many wise ideas contained in the pages of this book.

As an example, I learned that efficiency is something that is appropriate with tasks but with people especially family members you can't be efficient and slot people in as you think best. Instead it is about effectiveness. So you have to give family members the time they need.

Another gem is that you can't balance life at times you have prioritize according to your values. So a mother (or father) who wants to stay home with their kids when they are young, may need to focus on home instead of career until the kids are older. The goal of balance would be inappropriate for that situation. Mr. Covey also makes it clear the importance of following the compass instead of the clock.

This is an excellent book that people need to read because it gives business direction but from a higher perspective that you rarely find in most literature out there.

I doubt that my review can do this book justice! Published almost 20 years ago... these principles are as sound today as any other time in human history. This is a classic and a must read book for anyone looking at improving his or her own life. One of my mentors recommended this book and after reading it, I understand clearly what makes individuals successful. Beyond simply making sense… it is easy to apply these habits as part of our daily experience. My personal favorite habit is to “begin with the end mind”. I find that consciously applying this principle to most things in my life has had a significant impact on my success.

this was one of the worst books I ve ever read full of hallow stories and commonsense that if you didn't know before reading this book how did you make to the book store in the first place to buy it.
A lot of companies recommend reading this book it you get stuck having to read this crap all you really need to read is the first few paragraphs of each chapter that's where all the important info is after that it gets in to badly written stories.

This is one of the must read book for everybody, especially for people who want more happiness and joyful in their life.

This book will change your mind for good. Study this book and you will be great communicator of all times.
Takes time to implement these habits and after some time you will be new person with better understanding of humans relations.
