My kids are enjoying the book but I wish it was made clear that it is a "mini" version. It is just about 3 inches X 3.5 inches.

Sorry, what I meant to say is that I wish it was made clearer in the title or main description that this was a mini book. I have never been in the habit of checking the dimensions of a book before purchasing ... I will from now on.

    Heather Dunham

Just found the "mini" version, apparently the comments are grouped together whichever version we're looking at. I saw your comment appearing for the "trade paperback" version. Anyway, the "details" of the mini version does clearly say 2.5" x 3".

    Heather Dunham

The description clearly says, in the 'details', "Dimensions:288 Pages, 6.12 x 9.12 x 0.61 in" You must have bought something else?

    Inspiring and Accessible

I read this as a teen because of a leadership program I was attending. Although my self-esteem was not in the "low" at the time, this book still made me feel better to be myself, and also gave me the self-confidence to defy the trend and stake out my own path. This book is very accessible to teens because it talks to them in a way that is straightforward but inspiring all at the same time. This book features cartoons and excellent quotes (that I still look at from time to time) that are sure to put you on a road to a better "you".
If your child (or YOU) need a good uplifting talk from a non-parent figure, this book is probably your best bet. It makes you see the world differently, and though I went in as a pessimist (unfortunately), I came out optimistic.
I recommend this book with the Reflections from the same series.

I read this book in high school when, like many teenagers, my self-esteem was compromised. I would recommend guidance offices carry these for loan-outs! This book is a must for ALL teens as it illustrates lessons that are easily and readily applied to real life. An invaluable tool for everyone.

From the Critics

Stephen R. Covey

Author of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Unlike my book on the 7 Habits, this book by my son Sean speaks directly to teens in an entertaining and visually appealing style (and Sean, I never thought you listened to a word I said). As prejudiced as this may sound, this is a remarkable book, a must-read!
