This book was not what I expected: it was so preachy and square that I don't know how Covey's message can effect anyone. It was condescending and patronizing...I couldn't figure out whether it was my parents telling me to join a convent, or my local priest. The verdict? A repetetive, predictable bore, that tells teens that in order to be a positive leader and have self-worth, you must never drink, smoke, go to bed past 10:00 pm, or fight with your parents. These are issues we face every day and for Covey's information, we've been informed that they are wrong. Author: If you're going to write a book for teens, try to relate to the 16 year old inside of us; not the 45 year old inside of yourself.
