Ok, let's cut to the chase. This book was REALLY good. I enjoyed this book alot and I'm sure you will too! The main focus in this story is on a little girl who is sent to a private academy. Her father is very rich, and she is very respected. Sudeenly her father dies and she is left an orphan with no money. She's turned into a maid, and is half-starved, but the whole while, through all her troubles, she pretends. She is such a good pretender that her peers are caught up in her fairy-tale world. I was, too! The author of this book cleverly weaves strands of heartbreak, drama, comedy, and success in one brilliant, imaginitve quilt. I reccomed this book to everyone who wants to read it. About 12 and up, because the grammar is a little more advanced than other books. A definite must-read!
