From the Publisher

At last, the long awaited and most anticipated book of the Dark-Hunter world. The god of final fate and the leader of the Dark-Hunters, Acheron Parthenopaeus is used to being in charge... at least in this lifetime. He answers to no one and no one questions him.Yeah, right. Enter a woman on a forbidden quest out to answer an ancient mystery who won''t take no for an answer. Not even from Acheron himself. In spite of his impugning her reputation and foiling her attempts at every step of the way, she will not be denied. But when ancient guardians and old enemies threaten them, the only hope they have is to stand together or be destroyed individually. The only problem is Acheron isn''t sure he can trust anyone with his past, but as the Fates have foretold, in your past lies your future. The time for truth is at hand...In this book, witness the birth of an Atlantean god, the destruction of their pantheon and the true birth of Daimons and the Dark-Hunters.

From the Critics

"Focusing on the core of each of the main characters, Graham directs the flow of the plot around their raw emotions. He gives the impression of barely being able to hold in their power while also allowing glimpses of their vulnerabilities." - "AudioFile," Winner of an Earphones Award

This book is a one of kind in the dark hunter series that I discovers only one years ago. And sinces the first time the Ash come into the series I wanted to know all about him. I was happy to read it! Though the first part is hard on the torture and hardship of Ash first years because of is familly I was unable to put the books aside hopping it would go better... Well I go my wish in the end but now I want to know how it gonna go for the other dark hunter since Ash can't bather for their souls… read more

    THE BEST EVER 5

Wow...what more needs to be said. This was the most anticipated Dark-Hunter novel and it was GREAT! I liked Ash from his very first appearance, and now I love his character. The began of the book was very hard to get through, I found myself crying, and very frustrated to the point I wanted to throw the book, I can actually say I was drained and would have to put the book down and walk away, it was very hard to read. But then the story between Ash and Tory begun and it was back to the way we… read more

    Excellent! 5

This book is the best one of the Darkhunter series. Sherrilyn Kenyon is able to make the reader feel so much emotion that I felt emotionally exhausted when I was finished, especially from the first part. If there is one Darkhunter novel you read, this should be the one.

Thank Goodness For Happy Endings:) 4

It took me a while to get through this book. I found that Part One was really hard to read because of all the pain and suffering that Acheron had to go through in his life. At times I didn't think I could stand to read any further and had to put the book down for days at a time which is unusual for me. Part Two was much more relaxed but I think the reader needed to know the tragic past of Acheron to truly appreciate the character that he became, despite his horrible life in Part One. I loved… read more

    Acheron's Got it All 5

This review is from: Acheron: A Dark-Hunter Novel (Hardcover)

I really liked this book--the story was engaging, interesting and different and the love scenes were steamy. Learning about Acheron's tortured life really made my heartache--Kenyon really knows how to get her readers to feel the emotions of her characters. My only complaint is the same as many of the other reviews of this book: the first part of the novel was really good--I couldn't put it down good---but the second part (the part set in modern day) lost the emotion from the first part. It… read more

    WOW!!! 5

This book is unbelievable. I laughed and cried, there is so much pain in this book that its hard to imagine that even in writing someone could suffer so much. My heart ached for Acheron and in the end I was so happy that I cried again. I hope Sherrilyn continues her story of Acheron, he is a man that could read about forever and I hope his story continues.

    The BEST! 5

Of all the books in the dark-hunter series, this is my favorite. Even how the pages are cut to make it look like it's an old book it awesome. This book takes you throught the very long and brutal life of Acheron. You finally find out why Ash is so secretive about himself. You wonder how someone could survive ever brutal thing he went through and still be a trusted leader of the dark-hunters and how he still tries to save human life. It is a long read, but well worth it. You learn of how… read more

    Amazing Story! 4

This review is from: Acheron (Mass Market Paperbound)

Another book I picked up on a whim and I'm so glad I did. The story of Ash born eleven thousand years ago is a story that I could not put down. I absolutely love that the first two-thirds of the book took place in the time period of 9000 - 7000 BC. It was so intriguing (I love period pieces). I gave it four stars only because even though the book was amazing, I really didn't enjoy too much of the last third of the book as it took place in present time and read like a regular romance novel and… read more

    Biggest disappointment, thus far. 2

I can't even finish it, it is so bad. The first part was....alright, but the second part.... What a waist of a great character. I was hoping that he would have a great story, but i am fully dissapointed. I can't believe i waisted money on this book. I don't know if i will ever finish it, it is just so bad (in the way that it is just like ALL the others) same story, same EVERYTHING.....BORING!!!! I find that Kenyon's books are all starting to be the same. All that changes is the characters… read more
