After I Win (Yaoi)

After I Win (Hoshigarimasen Katsumade wa) by Itsuki Kaname is a cute yaoi manga that takes place in a high school, where the students live in dorms. The drawings are great, but the story felt very short. After I Win is aimed for older teens because of the content.

It is about a shy, beautiful, and popular boy named Nakatani Hiyori, who falls in love with his dorm roommate, Amano Kasumi, who is younger than he is. Hiyori confesses his love for Kasumi, however, no progress is made in their relationship.

There is also a short story about Hiyori's older brother, Nakatani Sawa, who is the dorm leader.

This is the very first yaoi manga I ever picked up, and it is still one of my top favourites. If you’re looking for a well-developed plot, loveable characters, and a handful of pretty boys, this is the yaoi for you. Kaname Itsuki thinks up unique, interesting characters and places them in a perfect setting, bringing them to life with beautiful art. This story has a reasonable conflict and the best possible resolution.

First off I must stress how gorgeous the art style is. Being a huge fan of the artist’s works, I would recommend anything Itsuki publishes. You are guaranteed a manga full of eye candy. The characters in After I Win have wonderful designs; looks and personality. The plot line is very sexual, but in a mature way. If you can handle it then don’t miss out on this read. I would rate it on the top ten for yaoi manga hands down.
