This book was amazing. About two years ago, a friend recommended
this book. She had read it and stopped. I wasn't ready to quit, so
I didn't read it (I was afraid it might actually work).
About a month ago, I decided to try quitting for a number of
various reasons. I was ready to go with a whole stop plan based on
things we've all heard..drink lots of water, avoid temptation, keep
your mouth and hands busy, get gum, etc. The plan was to smoke my
last one on my birthday.
Then I remembered this book. So I went out bought it, and started
reading. I finished it in less than a week, and smoked my last one
five days before my birthday. The best birthday gift I ever got.
I didn't need any of the stuff I was prepared to use, just in case.
It was by far the easiest thing I've ever done. My husband smokes,
but it doesn't bother me and in the past two weeks I have not once
wanted to light up.
Now, I have to get my hands on a copy of EasyWeigh to Lose Weight /
No More Diets and see if that one works just as well. I had always
planned on losing weight first and then thinking about quitting
smoking (my doctor actually recommended that to me also) since I
thought that would be easier. This way has proven to be much
easier. I'm already feeling more energetic and more motivated to
get rid of all of this excess weight because I am now a non-smoker
and love it.
