I first read this set of authors in last year's Alluring Tales:
Awaken the Fantasy, a hot book with great stories as sexy as they
were loving. This year's anthology doesn't disappoint. These
authors are the queens of the short story - they bring on the heat
and keep your pulse racing as you weave your way through
surprisingly complex and well paced stories. I particularly loved
the elements in Cathryn Fox's Peaches and Cream. She quickly pulls
you in with the tantalizing excitement of living a fantasy in a way
you never thought possible - taking on a life you would never
imagine doing. Don't we all love the thrill of the risk of being
caught?
Of course you could WANT to be caught. Delilah Devlin makes that a
theme in her short Indecent Exposure, a great story that had me
blushing and laughing. For that matter, Forbidden Fruit by Lisa
Renee Jones was just as fun to read with a character that was right
up my alley, one determined lady! Truthfully, I liked all the
stories in this anthology, but Billboard Babe by Myla Jackson was
one of my favorites. I have to say, I thought the way this ugly
duckling story was laid out in such a slick way, I could with to be
a duck, lol. Of course that would be a high paid, executive little
duckie with a very hot man to seduce.
Wish Upon A Star by Sasha White held a definite appeal, and I was
so happy to see another story with Max and Victoria (That Old Black
Magic by Sylvia Day) who I'd been waiting to hear from since the
last anthology. Where had they been, what had they been up to?
There is nothing better than a man who can understand a woman's
needs and more importantly act on them. Good to see Max helping
Victoria get over her old life. The final story in the Anthology,
Silver Waters, was very complex, and showed the return of another
couple I'd read about in the previous book. It too left me
wondering - what's next?
All together, I loved this book. Thanks Ladies!
