    great book, a must buy if you are a Colbert Report fan.

    I had my doubts before picking up the book. I did not know if Colbert's style would be properly conveyed in a book. However I was pleasently surprised, the book is a real laugh, and worth the price. When reading the book, one can almost hear Colbert. A great book for any fan of the Colbert Report.

    Reading this book was just like listening to the show. I couldn't stop laughing and that was just from reading the introduction. Great read, if you ever wished his show was on all day long, this is defienetly the book for you!!

    While there was some humour in certain thoughts contained within the book it was written poorly and came off as a disjointed pile of nonsense thoughts. I think Colbert could have written a funny book but in this case he didn't.

    He IS America, and so can we all

    I stayed up all night listening to all three hours of this audiobook. I was happy to recognize most of the voices, Amy Sedaris, Paul Dinello, Jon Stewart, Evie McGee-Colbert, Greg Hollimon, and a few others that I didn't recognize. I didn't expect the foul language, but I giggled anyway, especially when Stephen said, "f*ck you, c*cks*cker." I'm immature like that. I enjoyed every minute of it, and do not regret losing sleep for it. it's so worth being bleary-eyed all day to have Character!Stephen's words reverberating through my brain all day.

About the Author

Stephen Colbert was The Daily Show''s longest-running and most diverse correspondent. In addition to his role as Senior Political Correspondent he was one of the hosts of "Even Stephven," a point-counterpoint assault featuring co-correspondent Steve Carell, and the host of "This Week in God," in which he reported on all things theological with the assistance of the "God Machine."

His personality, insight and overall rightness could only lead to The Colbert Report, a half-hour nightly platform for him to give his take on the issues of the day, and, more importantly, to tell you why everyone else''s take is just plain wrong. The show has been hugely successful.
