    A Great Novel

In this novel, ten people, who have in the past commited crimes but weren't caught, are tricked and stranded after being invited on an island by an anonymous person. These 10 people are killed one after the other and each ones death is related to the old nursery rhyme, Ten Little Indians.
Personnaly I don't like to read books, but this novel was the best I have ever read so far. When you start reading this book you can't stop because you always want to know what happens next. I recommend this book to everyone !

Who was it? This book was the first Agatha Christie book I ever read. I loved the way she added suspence in between each murder by telling the reader who the other guest thought was the murderer. I loved the way they all go crazy in the end and the last death is so scary! An absolute nessecity for any crime/murder/mystery fan!

    Absolute Thriller

This 300-page mystery novel is a joy to read. After the first death, the intensity and the intense paranoia snowballs page by page. Without detective present and a limited set, deserted island, the reader is thrown into the lion's den without a way to escape. There is no protagonist but in fact ten antagonists. The narrator cleaverly describes each character perspective and historical background. This well knit puzzle leaves no one unhappy with the plot. The confession at the end will enlightened many. This is a master piece and a must read to all. Agatha Christie's thriller makes her apart from other novelists. The climax is on the last page, the last word which reflects the title "And There Were None."

    A suspense classic

Smart, well-handled and genuinely chilling little tale. Christie manages to invoke the horror of impending death (and the inevitability of justice) despite -- or more probably because of -- a notable lack of bestial killers or forensic nastiness. The only flaw is in the tidy ending...knowing whodunnit, in this case, is a distinct letdown. Should be a cornerstone of any serious mystery library.

Amazing Book! i am looking forward to reading towards zero I think this type of literature should be taught in Canadian schools instead as well as stienbeck they both are very stimulating and you can't wait to see who did what or who killed whom. I love Agatha Christie

About the Author

One of the most successful and beloved writer of mystery stories, Agatha Mary Clarissa Christie was born in 1890 in Torquay, County Devon, England. She wrote her first novel, The Mysterious Affair at Styles, in 1920, launching a literary career that spanned decades. In her lifetime, she authored 79 crime novels and a short story collection, 19 plays, and six novels written under the name of Mary Westmacott. Her books have sold over a billion copies in the English language with another billion in 44 foreign languages. Some of her most famous titles include Murder on the Orient Express, Mystery of the Blue Train, And Then There Were None, 13 at Dinner and The Sittaford Mystery. Noted for clever and surprising twists of plot, many of Christie's mysteries feature two unconventional fictional detectives named Hercule Poirot and Miss Jane Marple. Poirot, in particular, plays the hero of many of her works, including the classic, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd (1926), and Curtain (1975), one of her last works in which the famed detective dies. Over the years, her travels took her to the Middle East where she met noted English archaeologist Sir Max Mallowan. They married in 1930. Christie accompanied Mallowan on annual expeditions to Iraq and Syria, which served as material for Murder in Mesopotamia (1930), Death on the Nile (1937), and Appointment with Death (1938). Christie's credits also include the plays, The Mousetrap and Witness for the Prosecution (1953; film 1957). Christie received the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for 1954-1955 for Witness. She was also named Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1971. Christie died in 1976.
