On Enzo's last night of being trapped in a dog's body, he looks
back on his life and all the things he's experienced. He remembers
the day Denny bought him, when Eve entered his life, when Zoe was
born. He watched Eve's illness slowly take away her life, and then
Denny's struggle to keep his daughter and his sanity. Enzo offers
his advice on everything, but he's unable to speak it because being
a dog, his tongue is too flat. He knows that in his next life, he
will be born a human, he saw it on a documentary.
An awesome novel narrated by a dog, who is very opinionated. It
might make you wonder if our pets really think the way Enzo does.
Garth's novel is both hilarious, yet sad. I'd recommend it to
everyone.
