Before Twilight was even published, my all time favourite book was
Awake and Dreaming. This is a touching story about having the hard
life: a poor little girl, Theo, with a single parent who has to pan
for money. But when a sudden wish gives Theo a new family, you'd
think there would be no way things could go bad again. But then it
does, and all of Theo's new family, new clothes, new friends,
disappears, and she's back with her poor mother, Rae. But there's
something new, a ghostly figure that Theo meets in the graveyard.
I really LOVED this book when I was little, and I still think of
this story once in awhile. I would recommend this book to everyone
learning to grow up.
