Awake And Dreaming

a heart filled emotional journey of a perfectly described character is never too much too ask from the amazing Kit Pearson but she really out did herself with this one!

Before Twilight was even published, my all time favourite book was Awake and Dreaming. This is a touching story about having the hard life: a poor little girl, Theo, with a single parent who has to pan for money. But when a sudden wish gives Theo a new family, you'd think there would be no way things could go bad again. But then it does, and all of Theo's new family, new clothes, new friends, disappears, and she's back with her poor mother, Rae. But there's something new, a ghostly figure that Theo meets in the graveyard.
I really LOVED this book when I was little, and I still think of this story once in awhile. I would recommend this book to everyone learning to grow up.

I loved this book so much I read it over and over as a child. There are some great surprises in the story, and the life of the children was so heartbreaking that I couldn't bear to put it down.
Highly recommend if you want a beautiful story, filled with laughter and tears.

This book was the best, i couldn't put it down i wanted to know what would happen next and why it would happen.I recomend it to all my friends and enimies:).The next book by kit pearson is Handful of time and i walso loved that !so happy reading!

The book Awake and Dreaming is the best book. It's about a little girl (Theo) and her mother (Rae) who is the worst mother ever. Theo is around 9 years old when Rae falls in love with a man named Cal. Rae moves in with Cal but Cal hates childern so Rae sends Theo off to Rae's sister Sharon in Victoria. While Theo is on the ferry she has a nap and when she wakes up she is in the Kaldors home. Her dream home. Two boys, two girls. But then Theo's life with the Kaldors started to fade.

This book is abolutely great! I love all of Kit Pearson's books, but I especially enjoyed this one. I think every person can relate to this book because, everybody wants a family, some are just lucky enough to have one. I don's usually cry when I read sad books, but through the sad parts in this one, Kit Pearson made it hard not too! My mom recommended this book to me. I didn't think I would like it, but i'm glad I gave it a chance because it is now one of my favorite books! I am so thankful for my family. I try to remember Theo whenever I feel like my Family is trying to ruin my life. I know they love me, and im really happy I have a family. Two big thumbs up for this one!!!

It was the best book I ever read !
it had just the right amount of everything.
If I could I would give Kit Pearson the award of a life time.
I would recomend it to anyone who likes to have a little fun in a book.

awake and dreaming is an excellent book that i would recommend to anyone. it is filled with many life lessons including important every day values. kit pearson is an excellent author and if your interested in fantasy heart filling books kit pearson is the author you should lok out for.

This book was great and and well written. The book was sad at times but it got better. I enjoyed this book very much and that is why I read it about 10 times. That is why I would give this book 5 stars.

i read this book like 5 months ago for a school book report and the librarian said it was excellent when i checked it out but i had no idea it was going to be this good. I never wanted to pt it down.

This was the most wonderful book. I highly reccomend it to anyone. It brings light into a difficult situation, and shows the courage and dreams of a young child.

I have never read a book as spectular and unique as this book! Kit Pearson did an amazing job! I cried and laughed as I read the book! The main character is Theo, an unhappy girl with a single mother who acts like a teenager, makes Theo dance on the streets of Vancouver for money, and is more interested in her new boyfriend than in her. Suddenly, while on a ferry from Vancouver to Victoria to live with her aunt, Theo finds herself in a new family, the Kaldors - a perfect, wonderful family with 4 kids, and they completely accept her as one of them. A dream? But it goes on and on for months. Then slowly it begins to fade, and she is back on the ferry, and begins another new life with her aunt and thought that is was all a dream when they went on a tour of Victoria and found out that all the things that happened are all little parts of her childhood memory pulled into a story. She finally meets with the ghost, Cicely, who is trying to write a book and somehow as Cicely tries to write, it is actually happening. She never wrote the book because it was all so perfect so she threw it away and that is why she began to fade. T

This book was unbelievably good. I've read this book over and over and it's still exciting. If there's one book u have to read it's this one. Actually all of Kit Pearson's books are good so read all of them. bye :)
