Amazing!

I thought this book was absolutely amazing! Bono is a tremendous talent, and a great humanitarian. This book showed every facet of the public person, as well as the private side. It was very well written and a great read (very difficult to put down!). I loved the way that he and the author interacted with each other and the depth of the topics that were discussed. It showed what makes the man tick, it was open and honest. I have even more admiration for Bono than I did before.

In a candid interview Bono lets his guard down and reveals a side of himself that not even his humantiarian persona conveys. This biographical journey into the heart of a man that has changed the world not only with his music through his band U2 but quite literally with his 3rd world relief efforts with his organizations One.org and DATA (Debt, Aids, Trade, Africa) will leave you begging for more. There is something to be said of a man who would give his all to make the world a better place and is. This multiple Nobel Peace Prize Nominee talks about his music, his family, the heart-breaking loss of his father and how he plans to change the world in the next 20 years. written in a Q & A format, the book is an easy read and hard to put down. Bono in Conversation is one that all U2 fans should read as well as anyone wanting to know how they can make a difference. The Music world has been forever altered since these 4 irish lads burts onto the scene in the late 70's and as the new millennium forges ahead the World will be altered by the harrowing presence of Music biggest Icon since John Lennon.
Bono: He's the Real Deal
Jennifer Klassen
I've always been intrigued by the band U2 and especially, front man, Bono. I've had a high respect for him from what I could sense of his life through his music and politics. It was with no small amount of trepidation that I bought this book and began to read. I was pleasantly surprise to discover that Bono, is indeed, the real deal. Passionate, honest, and obviously very human. He displays a total love for life, family, his convictions and his relationships. I came away from reading this book with a deeper respect for him as an artist but more importantly, as a person. This book is well worth the money!
