    Can't wait!

I haven't been able to get my hands on this book yet but I can hardly wait! I've heard it was given rave reviews from Ina May Gaskin, Penny Simpkin and Ricki Lake too! I was lucky enough to have had the services of doula for my second birth, it made all the difference. Like I said, I can hardly wait to read the experiences of other women who had an amazing doula by their side.

    "Two thumbs up"

Who better to write about birth than the women who support and have supported other women since the beginning of time. "Bearing Witness" is a wonderful anthology of stories, poems and observations guiding and supporting both physically and emotionally through the prenatal, birth and post partum period. At times very raw and difficult to read and other times heartwarming. I felt a connection to all the doulas who submitted their "stories" to this book. It should definitely be on the "required reading list" of anyone considering hiring a doula and to couples who are preparing for childbirth to understand fully who a doula is and how she can enhance their birth experience. As someone once said "being a doula is not what I do , a doula is who I am"
