How far will Rose go to keep her promise?

He''d rather die than be one of them, and now Rose must abandon her best friend, Lissa - the one she has sworn to protect no matter what - and keep the promise Dimitri begged her to make long ago. But with everything at stake, how can she possibly destroy the person she loves most?

The impossible love story, the action, the heart breaking stuff ... so much happening and so much emotions coming out of me (crying, laughing, stress). Each book after this one get better and better. This is an amazing book series. Keep on reading all the other book after this one because you will not regretted. Enjoy!

Lots of Dimitri in this one

What I really enjoyed about this novel was learning more about Dimitri's past and present. We learn about Dimitri's family who is very cool I would totally trade in my family to have his (sorry!). I also liked even though it did piss me off, Rose and Dimitri's "new" relationship. We saw a different side of both of them.

But that doesn't mean I'm still not pissed off about certain events! Richelle really knows how to play on her readers emotions. Which I find authors are rarely able to do. Which makes Richelle one of my favourites.

Oh and I was totally right about Avery - all I have you say about her is, trust what your gut is telling you about her because I bet you are right.

    BTW still extremely pissed off...

    Sweet Addiction

This book drove a stake through my own heart.

I both loved and was irked by this book. The love came from Mead's addicting style of writing. I can't help but getting hooked to her books/series. She does such a fantastic job luring people into the world's that she creates. My irk was for a few things, and some I won't go into too great of detail because... well... I don't want to spoiler those that are about to read this book. *grins*

One thing was reading how Rose got broken and addicted. I know she's fallible but for some reason I was convinced that if she found Dimitri they'd find a way. Instead I was gifted (insert sarcasm) with my beloved Rose being broken and it was almost as painful as Buffy crying on Willow's leg sobbing "I can't breathe Will. I feel like I can't breathe." And I know the pain isn't over and I'm sure the pain between these two is only going to get worse. I couldn't decide what I wanted to happen. Because I've got a soft spot for Adrian I was warming to the idea of the two of them. At the same time I had flashes of Buffy plunging a sword through Angel.

I enjoyed the new characters that Mead brought in with this book. However, at times I felt over whelmed and that I was suppose to love some of them more than I did. The relationships clicked far to quickly and during those scenes the plot seemed a bit rougher than normal.

My favorite new character was Sydney the Alchemist. I really hope we get more of her in the next book. I thoroughly enjoyed her role and job and how she viewed both Strigoi & Dhampir.

All around I loved this book and am eagerly counting down until May 18, 2010.
