About the Author

Helen Creighton (1899-1989) was one of Canada''s most respected and renowned folklorists. A true pioneer, she collected folk tales for over 50 years, helping to preserve the cultural identity of the Maritimes. Appointed a member of the Order of Canada, Dr. Creighton wrote numerous books, including Bluenose Ghosts and Bluenose Magic.
