From the Publisher

In the Ichidian Universe, the League and its ruthless assassins continue to keep rule. But at what cost? Welcome back to the future...and a whole new world. Devyn Kell spent his life in service to the League until he learned of the double dealing and backstabbing that was costing innocent people their lives. Refusing to play those politics, he became a Runner-someone who makes sure planets get the weapons, medicine and supplies they need to survive. May the gods have mercy on any who get in his way, because he definitely won''t. Alix Garran is a woman on the run from a past she can''t escape. Signing on to work for Devyn as a System''s Engineer, she finds a cause she can fight for-and a man she can respect. But as Alix''s past catches up to her, and Devyn''s old enemies turn lethal, they have to fight together...or fall alone.

This is the third book in the series and I like the way Kenyon went with the next generation in this one. Although I was expecting a little more action at the end of the book when all the old and new characters came together but i liked it just the same. I also like the way it worked out for Syn and his sons. I can't wait to read future books

    Loved it! 4

This book did not disappoint. It had the action and romance that the 2 previous books had. It jumps forward a lot of years so you meet the children of the characters introduced in the first 2 books. This allows the author to continue the series. Although I would love to see how some of the older characters ended up where they did.

I really like how this book is set further into the future where the kids are now grown up and still dealing with some of the same problems their parent did. Devyn, Syn's son, was tired of the political backstabbing and double dealing, and decided to go on his own and help those who needed help. Alix is a slave and is sent to spy on Devyn to get information to confict him. She is amazed at how he is not like any of the men she is use too. He is gentle, kind, and his crew respects him, and… read more

This is my first Sherrilyn Kenyon book. I found it very entertaining. When I start a series in the middle I worry that I will not be able to understand everything, but with this book I didn't feel as though I was missing anything. I will definitely read some more of her books.
