Broken

by Kelley Armstrong
Narrated by: Laural Merlington

Tantor Media Inc | August 25, 2008 | Audio Book (CD)

Ever since she discovered she''s pregnant, Elena Michaels has been on edge. After all, she''s never heard of another living female werewolf, let alone one who''s given birth. But thankfully, her expertise is needed to retrieve a stolen letter allegedly written by Jack the Ripper. As a distraction, the job seems simple enough-only the letter contains a portal to Victorian London''s underworld, which Elena inadvertently triggers, unleashing a vicious killer and a pair of zombie thugs. Now Elena must find a way to seal the portal before the unwelcome visitors get what they''re looking for-which, for some unknown reason, is Elena.

    Love this series!!

This book brings us back to Elena, who I adore. She's hilarious, tough, and pregnant! Also, she might've released Jack the Ripper into the world. Yay! Her fears and concerns about her child, zombies, portals and Clay, come together in such an entertaining way. Her and Clay's interactions alone are enough to amuse me, they are so great. If you've read the previous books in the Women of the Underworld series, or are just a fan of kickass female leads, check this and the other books out! There's plenty of supernatural goodness to please just about anyone.

I started reading her young adults books the The darkest powers and they were very addicting. So I stepped up to the adults and I was blown off my feet. She has the right mixture to keep the plot and the characters fresh through out all her books.
I have to say she is one of my favorite writers of Sci Fi Fantasy

I've read all of her Women of The Otherworld series, except for Frostbitten and I can't wait to read that one. I'm now on her YA series Darkest Powers and it's great as well, I just hoped that some of the Otherworld characters would come into play in this book, but it doesn't. Anyway it still is a great read. Kelley Armstrong is doing a great job, she is the first writer that I've read more than 10 of her books and I'm still not tired of them, they are all unique in their own way, keeping the reader glued to the pages until it's done. A********************* all the way for Kelly Armstrong...TRUE NORTH STRONG AND FREEEEEEE!! And an Ontario native too....LOVE IT!!!!!
