    A good book

I thought this book was rather interesting and I find that it keeps you on constant edge, as you wait for Brooke to crack.
This book is about a young girl who is around the age of 13 who has been an orphan ever since her mom abadoned her when she was about one year old. When a couple decide to take Brooke home with them she is more then happy. For to have a familly has been one of Brookes life long dreams.
Things start out well but soon Brooke starts to notice that her mother is trying to turn Brooke into another her. Things soon get out of hand and Brookes dreams of a happy familly soon start to shatter.
I gave this book a three out of five for I thought that it was interesting, although it can get a bit slow at times. I would probabably recomend this to people as well as any of the other V.C Andrews novels.

Those that have read previous works under the VC Andrews name, after reading this book will wonder: what happened?

It wasn't exactly boring, but it wasn't up to Andrews' usual level of emotions and intrigue. Brooke's character was interesting, as were those of her adoptive parents, but that was pretty much it. The plot was kind of stale, your typical girl wants to be one thing, parents want another. It wasn't that the book was horrible, but more is to be expected out of a VC Andrews book than was in Brooke's content. No twists and turns, not much showing of emotions...if you've read the rest of the Orphans Miniseries then its worth buying as it ties in, but if not, stick to the other works of Andrews.
