    Delightful
    This is a terrific book for infant/toddlers. Great to encourage prereading skills: shape, colour, rhyme, sound recognition. Just like the Dr. Seuss books, they teach receptive language.

    A must have for the little ones.
    This is one of those lovely books, that all kids should have. Melodic rhyming and vivid colours, as well as a hard board pages make it great for babies, toddlers and preschoolers alike.

    Fun to Read
    My wonderful grandson, just 4months old, is captivated. He loves looking at the colours, listening to the rhythm & seeing the interesting animals. We have fun reading!!! It's a great book and brings learning and fun together.

    We Love It!
    My son has loved this book since he was 6 months old. He gets so excited when he sees me pull it out! He loves the rhyming and the wonderful artwork. I really don't mind having to read this book over and over again. :)

    Great book, Great book, for you and me
    Our son Cameron insists on having this read to him in the morning, noon and at night. Better than a few choruses of "100 bottles of beer on the wall" on a road trip, Cameron soaks up "Brown Bear, Brown Bear what do you see" over and over again. Don't worry--you'll have it memorized in no time. But is worth it to hear him giggle every time!

About the Author

Bill Martin, Jr. (1916-2004) was an elementary-school principal, teacher, writer, and poet. His more than 300 books, among them the bestselling classics Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?; Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?; Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What Do You See?; and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, are a testament to his ability to speak directly to children. Martin held a doctoral degree in early childhood education. Born in Kansas, he worked as an elementary-school principal in Chicago before moving to New York City, where he worked in publishing developing innovative reading programs for schools. After several years, he devoted himself full-time to writing his children's books. He lived in New York until 1993, when he moved to Texas. He lived in the east Texas woods, near the town of Commerce, until he passed away in 2004.
 
Eric Carle is one of America''s leading children''s book illustrators. In addition to the classic children''s books he created with Bill Martin, Jr., he is author and illustrator of The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
