About the Author

BRAD SMOLIAK is a highly respected chef and food products developer based in Edmonton. Brad counts among his clients major food chains across Canada and the United States. Brad has served as executive chef at a number of leading restaurants, among them Edmonton’s acclaimed Hardware Grill, which he cofounded in 1996. The restaurant was ranked one of Canada’s top five restaurants by Enroute magazine. Brad has attended the Culinary Institute of America in California. He is a member of Cuisine Canada and of the Research Chefs Association. Brad has served as executive chef at a number of leading restaurants, among them Edmonton’s acclaimed Hardware Grill, which he cofounded in 1996. The restaurant was ranked one of Canada’s top five restaurants by Enroute magazine.Brad received his training from the Culinary Institute of America in California. He is a member of Cuisine Canada and of the Research Chefs Association.
