I bought this paperback because I volunteer at nursing homes and retirement homes and in my Reading Groups I sometimes get questions about words as I'm reading books to them. I have a very good vocabulary but occasionally there would be a word that it would be good to look up. I have the hardcover version of the Oxford Canadian dictionary at home, so I bought this paperback to carry with me for my Reading Groups. It has a lot of words but not anywhere near the number of words in the hardcover book and wouldn't you know it, those were the words I needed. So this paperback has not been as useful to me as I had hoped, but it is still good.
