Captivate

by CARRIE JONES

Bloomsbury USA | March 22, 2011 | Hardcover

Zara and her friends knew they hadn't solved the pixie problem for good. Far from it. The king's needs grow deeper every day he's stuck in captivity, while his control over his people gets weaker. It's made him vulnerable. And now there's a new king in town.

A turf war is imminent, since the new pixie king, Astley, is moving in quickly. Nick nearly killed him in the woods on day one, but Zara came to his rescue. Astley swears that he and Zara are destined to be together, that he's one of the good guys. Nick isn't buying it, though Zara isn't as sure-despite herself, she wants to trust the new king. But it's a lot more than her relationship with Nick that is at stake. It's her life-and his.

    2.5 stars, Nothing Special

After reading Need and having mixed feeling about it I was unsure about reading the sequel Captivate, but I wnet ahead and got the book because it was on sale and I got it for super cheap. I thought this book was a bit better than the first but I don't think it's anything special I found I still got a bit bored while reading and it was hard to get in to sometimes. I will check out the next books in the series but I'll wait for them to go on sale first. :0)

It's been a while since I read a good book that I can't let go. This one is the 2nd book of the series and I got all of them and I can't wait to read the next one. This series is not about Vampires it is about pixie. One again there's a romance and some suspense. If you liked Vampire Academy and the House of Night series (which I may add are my favorite up to date) you will love this series as well. Please Enjoy!

    Nothing But Filler

It was ok. Seemed slower and less active than the last one...more of a filler to get to the next one which seems like it will be pretty action packed. Guess we will have to wait and see...but overall it was bland.

    They're Back....

Captivate....more like captivating. This book had me hooked from the first page. Unlike it's predecessor, Need, I found this book much more exciting and fun to read.
The pixies are back in Bedford, only this time they're not killing teen boys. This time there are new pixie kings, one good and one evil, looking to usurp the rein from Zara's Pixie King father. Zara and her friends, Issie, Devyn and Nick have to fight them off and keep the unsuspecting humans of Bedford safe.
This book at times was sweet, funny, suspensful, and heart wrenchingly sad. Definately one to keep you reading long into the night.
Also loved the new character, Astley.
Can't wait to find out what happens next with Nick.
