    Finished this book in one day!
    I honestly love this series because its not like most vampire books! Most vampire books are only based on love triangles, but these books have everything you could want to read about. They have adventure, drama, and things that utterly shock you! I love these books, I am on the fourth one now (Untamed) and I can't wait to find out what happens next :)

    Still really enjoying this series. Fast read.
    3.75 stars *******SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE FIRST BOOKS IN THE SERIES******* In book 3 of the House of Night series, Stevie-Rae is some kind of undead, stereotypical vampyre,but Zoey thinks there is still some humanity left in her and is hoping to fix her, to give her that humanity back. Meanwhile, Zoey is still struggling with three boyfriend/admirers/attractions: her human ex-boyfriend (and also Imprinted) Heath, her current vampyre boyfriend Erik, and the hot teacher who is obviously attracted to her, Loren. *******END SPOILERS******* Plus, a vampyre has turned up dead on school grounds. I'm still really enjoying this series. Yes, some of the dialogue is silly and too-young sounding, but I am still really enjoying the story. It is a fast read, and I want to keep reading. I thought Zoey did some really stupid things in this book, in particular when it came to her love-life, but at the same time, she's a teenager. I like the developing "friendship" between Zoey and her unexpected ally. However, not everything was resolved by the end of the book.

    Doesn't deserve a 4 star, to be nice it's a 3 1/2
    Many people are giving this books 4 or 5 stars, they may like different types of books and it is their opinion, but... Like all of the books in the series before this, its starts off absolutely slow! It only gets good near the end. The plot itself is great, but the way it's written and the characters annoy me. There are too many side comments that are unnecessary, I don't know if the authors are trying to make it funny that way, but they can do that without having to put so many of those side comments, they irritate me. And also, it does seem like she falls inlove with EVERY non gay guy there is, even in the next book another guy comes in, sheesh. I'm a type of reader who HAS to finish a series no matter what, since I already started it, so sucks for me. But during the end, it was very good, like I said, the plot and intense moments is all this book has going for it. This series, i should say.

    Dreaming of Books Review
    The story really starts to pick up in this book. There are so many things happening and Zoey is caught up in the middle of everything. She’s always rushing to solve one problem after another and doesn’t even have a spare moment for herself. Add to the fact that Zoey is juggling three different guys in her life and all the secrets she has been keeping from her friends finally come to light. I admit I’m a little jealous of Zoey. It seems like every other guy has a thing for her. She has Erik who is seemingly perfect, Heath who’s kind of like a little puppy dog and so devoted to her and now Loren who’s a professor and he’s older. After all the of Zoey’s secrets come out she doesn’t get a chance to explain why she’s kept so much from her close friends. So at the end of this book their friendship is really up in the air. The gang is mad at Zoey for not trusting them but Zoey doesn’t really have a choice as adult vamps can read their minds and find out everything that Zoey knows. Zoey really needs her friends on her side so I hope they can all patch things up in the next book. We also see more of a human side to Aphrodite as the façade she puts on starts to crumple. Still as Zoey says they’re not so much as friends, more like allies as they have a common enemy Of the three books I’ve read so far this was the best one. There were a lot of things happening simultaneously in the story which had me turning the pages. As I’ve said before, this is a series for older teens or adults especially for this book as it had some pretty steamy scenes in it.

    UGH!
    Okay so awesome book! BUT I absolutly hate hate HATE Loren, I just can't believe it, I loved Erik and really hoped that Zoey and him would stay together. I can't wait to see what happenes next. But Loren really pissed me off threw out the whole book!

    ... Good Ending!
    I thought this book was good but there were parts in the book that I wish I had a phone to the fiction world, I’d call Zoey and I could have told her what to do and avoid. This book was still a good read some slow parts but also some good action and a good ending leaving me wanting more. (Untamed here I come!) I would rate this book a 4 out of 5.

    fantastic
    I am on chapter 17 and i still want to keep reading this book is amazing at first with he house of night series i wasn't sure if i would like it but after the first book i feel in love it was like watching a movie only in my head instead i wish that the authors of these books keep on writing them. i think that this book is perfect for a 13 year old and older even adults would find alot of enjoyment out of reading these books 'chosen' it self is one of my favorites because it is the one where relationships are broken along with friendships. i would just like to say if you are under the age of 13 do not read these books because they are a little to mature for your age. as a last thought i would like to say if you are a huge house of night fan go to their website www.houseofnightserise.com and look at their yearbook because it shows all the main characters which is very nice it also tells you their interests and role in the books, if you are reading this and you are the author please i am begging you make a movie out of these books because you will be rewarded with a far amount of money. that is all i have to say but please read these books because they are amazing.

    Just Didn't Like It
    Zoey Redbird is a fledgling vampyre with an affinity for all five elements-air, water, fire, earth, and spirit. With a bit of concentration and a flip of her wrist, she can create a mini-tornado or light up a candle. And she is destined to become a High Priestess, and is leader of the House of Night's Dark Daughters. But her life is far from perfect. First, there's her three-count 'em, three-boyfriends. One human, one fledgling, and one full-grown vampyre. Her best friend is a dead, undead, dead girl, with no soul, and her mentor and High Priestess of the House of Night, Neferet, is decidedly evil. So yeah...not exactly the greatest teenage career. And then, even more trouble arises. There's more killings going on-but this time, it's by humans. Possible Zoey's own step-loser...oops, step-father, and Zoey's sworn enemy-Aphrodite-seems to be the only person she can truly talk to at the moment...talk about messed up. Sad to say, I did not like this book. I mean, I've read worse, but I've also read better. A lot better. The first book in the series wasn't so bad and the second book was alright, but, for some reason, this book just didn't do it for me. I didn't care at all what happened to Zoey, because I thought she was slutty-she kind of is-and extremely annoying. The writers repeated what happened in the last two book every few pages, over and over again, until it was beginning to really get on my nerves. My favorite character was Aphrodite, someone you're supposed to hate, and I could see the turns in the plot coming a mile away. The writing style was desperately trying to sound like a teenager's inner voice would, and it didn't do very well, in my opinion. I doubt I'll be reading the rest of the series, and it's one I don't recommend.

    Expected more.
    I love the first two but this one didnt captivate me as the last one. I love the character Aphrodite because she reminds me alot of me but Ididnt personally like Zoey in this one, she seems very lost and stressed and unsure of everything. Not my favourite out of them so far.

About the Author

P.C.
