Christian Prayer

"Christian Prayer" is an excellent book that has allowed me and many of my friends to put a greater degree of order to our prayer lives. It is a book that I would recommend to all for its clarity and practicality.

'Christian Prayer' is an excellent text for those interested in joining throughout the day in the Prayer of the Church. This book is oriented toward people within the Roman Catholic tradition in particular as it follows the Roman Catholic liturgical calendar, but it is an excellent tool for all people who wish to have a bit more structure in their prayer life. The book follows a four week cycle and includes in it the special readings for Lent, Advent, and several Holy Days and saint's feast days. 'Christian Prayer' begins with an explanation of the structure of the book and how to use it. With a little practice one will soon find it a useful guide to prayer with the entire Christian community as it focuses upon the Psalms and scripture readings from both the Old and New Testaments.
