About the Author

Ann Purmell loves to write about children and family businesses because as a child she enjoyed working in her parents'' store in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She lives in Michigan.

Jill Weber did her research for this book at a Christmas tree farm near her own farm in New Hampshire. Her high-spirited illustrations for children''s books have been called "ebullient and colorful" and "full of child appeal" by "School Library Journal."
