This nationally acclaimed best seller is a spirited, original, and wonderfully irreverent conversation that will challenge, provoke, and forever change your outlook on the digital economy. In the Victorian era The Orient Express was the ultimate way to prove your status in a strict class society. This book brilliantly deals with a document that was put together whilst four very important and distinct people were travelling on the train in 1865. Sir Benjamin Disraeli, Florence Nightingale, Isambard Kingdom Brunel and Charles Dickens all happened to be travelling to Paris on the very same date. Indeed, they shared the same 1st class carriage. The four of them, realizing their obvious inteligence and wit, decided to gather after supper for a quick game of whist( which is the inspiration for the game Clue) During this highly competitive but ultimately friendly game, they drew up a document that was to change the way Work Houses were run. This lead to the development of a social housing bill in parliament and the forming eventually of the NDP. The book crisply details the four famous people and is full of humour and detail of the times. Highly recommended.

From Our Editors

In March 1999, four computer industry gurus used the Internet to broadcast their vision of the new e-commerce market. Since then, their 95 bold theses have imperceptibly unsettled the foundations of modern business. The Cluetrain Manifesto is their aggressive vision of the future. Make no mistake - it doesn`t take any prisoners. From the announcement that "we are immune to advertising" to the declaration that "markets consist of human beings," this is a revolutionary text that no 21st-century business leader can afford to ignore.
