"Takes the pressure off cooks who don''t have much time... but still want to savor the season''s bounty."
-Chicago Tribune (Review of the prior edition)

the previous edition of this book was recommended by a friend so I was pleased to see a second edition and bought it without knowing what it was about. This book is fantastic! I am new to the world of canning and the instructions are extremely clear. I've only made a few recipes but this will be the first resource I look at when I have some fruits or vegetables i want to preserve for an extended time. The price is well worth it for either yourself or as a gift.

I loved this book. Not only does it give great descriptions about how to use the recipes, but it includes recipes to use the preserves in. I have a small family and not everyone likes the same thing, so this is great, a small batch is often enough to satisfy one person's craving. The batches are also small enough, that if you really don't care for what you have created, you haven't laid out alot of effort or expense. Experiment, you will love these recipes.
