This was an interesting and thought provoking book. One has to approach reading it with a very open mind. A person who doesn't believe in God wont pick it up to read and a religious person will not enjoy reading it. It definetly makes one pause to wonder how close to the truth it could be. It took me a while to actually read it, but it was not a waste of time that could have been spent reading another book. Worth the read.

    False Teachings!!

After reading the book "The Shack" by William P Young, I found that I had an amazing thrist to know more of God. So I went to Chapters and tried to find something along the lines of the title of this book.

I got home super excited and opened the book to start reading, and even while reading the introduction I started to get a "bad" feeling. Unfortunately, I found that my feeling was justified the more and more that I read from the book.

So I just wanted to let people know that this book IS NOT in any way, shape, or form BIBLICAL. The teachings in this book are VERY FALSE and the title is VERY MISLEADING.

If you interested in knowing about the essence of God, what He stands for, and what He is looking for in a relationship with us read The Shack or The Purpose Driven Life, or you can go straight to the source and read The Bible.

I hope you find this review helpful. I wish I would've read the reviews online before purchasing the book.

    God bless,
    Oana

I thought this book was more closer a description of God than any religious doctrine could ever describe 'Him'.

    Three

I actually disagree with you. I found this book to be exactly what I've always known inside me to be what God is. I also disagree that the bible would be the source to read about the real definition of God. NONE of the gospels included in the Bible were even written when Jesus was alive so how could it be correct? The first gospel included in the Bible was written AT LEAST 80 years after the death of Jesus. Personally I relate to a God who is loving, and accepting of those he created. I do not believe our creator could be vengeful towards us when he gave us all the characteristics we have. I love these books and I'm sorry you felt closed off and unable to open your mind to this amazing message.

More than ANYTHING else, reading this book and others by NDW has helped me get my life on track. It literally blew the roof off! From understanding how all of life fits together comes enormous power to create for myself, for others and for the world. I now have at my disposal the most amazing toolbox full of tools I could ever imagine to BE, DO and HAVE the most joyous and fulfilled life. Peace of mind too FINALLY! One last thing I have to say also is that it is all so practical and easy to put to use. I would love everyone on the planet to read this book!

I enjoyed CwG Book 1 very much. I had the book tucked away on my shelf for 10 years! I finally pulled it off the shelf this past month and read it cover to cover. It is a very enlightening book. Read it with an open mind and enjoy!

I have read only a portion of it at the bookstore (I am planning to buy it later this week) and I am totally blown away by it. I don't have the words to describe what I feel. What does come to mind is . . . the truth will set you free John 8:32. I have found freedom. I believe that a person intuitively knows the truth. A knowing happens. That is what happened to me while reading this book. My life will never be the same.

This book changed my life and has set me on a much happier and more fulfilling path. It was not at all what I expected and to be honest, the book infuriated me so much when I tried to read it that I put the book away for months. It shone too much light on some of my staunches beliefs. Once I picked it up again, I could not put it down. It is full of common sense and basic truth. This book is something everyone should read.

CWG: An Excellent Read, 5 Stars.

Some may think that NDW just fell off the turnip truck. Perhaps, but he's a fantastic fantasy writer even if he is a little cuckoo for cocoa-puffs. The man has a deeper grasp on life than anyone I know - myself included.

Contrary to its title, and to popular belief, CWG is not at all a bible-thumping, you-better-love-God-or-else book. It's about a conversation one man believes to have had with our Creator. Guaranteed to raise an eyebrow of interest on even the most sceptical of sceptics. *IMHO

    Thanks for listening. Enjoy!

    *In my humble opinion.

    Finalmente - The Truth

Great book! Saw it on display and thought how presumptuous to think that someone could actually dialogue with God Himself - some ego! Friend of mine gave it to me as a late Christmas present. Started reading it and was immediately connected to its contents. These were the very questions that I had been asking for several years and I realized that as my journal was proof, I was one of those presumptuous people that was having dialogues with God on a regular basis. I always believed that there was only One Supreme Being - labelled differently but He was one and the same. He created us in love and that was the emotion that was to drive us to maximize our potential - our love for ourselves and for others. The former being critical for if you could not see yourself as a beautiful creation then you could not see beauty in others. God gave us the freedom to choose and it is our choices that determine who we are. Our life partners should always seek to bring out the very best in us just as we seek to bring out the very best in them. When asked why he chose such a book for me - my friend replied, "it had your name on it". God does answer in many ways. Thank you my friend and thank you God! If anyone can relate and is interested in discussing this book in greater detail, please email me directly.

So many of my questions were answered!! If you're looking for answers to some of the more difficult questions in your life this book could be just what you've been waiting for. Neale Donald Walsh's words have been divinely inspired and help to make sense of our purpose on this earth. Whatever form of God or a "devine being" that you believe in, this makes excellent and thought-provoking reading for those with an open mind.

So I am not crazy after all ...

Reading this Conversation is like reading my mind and then some.

You see, even before I read this book, I never doubted the existence of GOD and Jesus. But I have very different views than my religious friends (I am a Catholic). My views are not pro or against any religious teachings but are both common to all teachings and different from all religions.

Many of the explanations described in this book I already instinctively "know", or you can say GOD told me. I am glad I can confirm them. Things I learn "after" reading this insightful book are precious. It immediately puts my life (soul) in prospective.

The most important thing I confirmed is that GOD and the truth is in me the whole time. I need to look no further then me to find GOD, what GOD is all about and what I am all about. I just need to remember it. Now I know my purpose in life and how to achieve it. I even made some "conscious" choices and it was great! I intend to use these books and the bible for life reference in case I forget what and who I am.

I have gained the most important knowledge in my life with this book. So can you. Read this book whether you intend to love it or trash it. The readiness of your soul will determine how you react to this book. May GOD help us all to experience GOD as he intended us to.

    A New Beginning

    Andrew Farnsworth

Before I happened upon "Conversations with God", there were many aspects of life that I allowed to slip past me unnoticed. However, I can honestly say for the first time that a book has changed the way I interact with both my inner and my outer worlds. Neale Donald Walsch, together with his uncommon yet profoundly insightful co-author, present some of the most fascinating and controversially original ideas, ranging from sex and politics (mutually exclusive) to the nature of good and evil. Religious or otherwise, any open-minded reader will recognize that this book not only opens doors, it renders them obsolete. Read it now, and begin living a new life.

Yes, religion has been one of the most argued and talked about subjects in human history. This book as the first part of a trilogy of books puts the light on many questions of what you and I, as ordinary people, might want answers to. As a teenager in search for my faith and answers to life, i certainly recommend this book to anyone who is in the same situation as i am.

Yes, this book gives answers that CLAIMS to be from God. The book may seem to be answering questions about life and God and everything in between. It's sounds simple and direct, BUT it can only be taken as a motivational guide. Some people has taken it as their "Bible". BUT it's NOT the HOLY BIBLE. The HOLY BIBLE opens your mind to God's world and asks yourself to find the answer to life. DO NOT take this book as the "Word of God."
Experience the Word of God from the Holy Bible, not from this book. Don't expect to know what God is tell us from some second-hand opinion. My suggestion to you is to find someone with a religious background, share with them and see what they say.

I am a 21 year old university student, and this book got passed along to me by an old boyfriend. I am not going to extoll on its life changing insight, or its powers of spiritual enlightenment. I only know that whether this book was a figment of the authors imagination, or the word of the man himself doesn't matter at all. The dialogue is inspiring in itself and reading what our life has the potential to be will make you cry with joy. It feels like finding your soul mate waiting for you with a rose in your favourite place in the world.
