From Our Editors

It's the uplifting guide that has firmly taken hold of readers' imaginations across Canada. It's Conversations with God, Book 1: An Uncommon Dialogue. Neale Donald Walsch chronicles his extraordinary experience of conversing with God - achieved through the process of "auto-writing" - in this moving book.

From the Publisher

Suppose you could ask God the most puzzling questions about existence - questions about love and faith, life and death, good and evil. Suppose God provided clear, understandable answers. It happened to Neale Donald Walsch. It can happen to you. You are about to have a conversation... I have heard the crying of your heart. I have seen the searching of your soul. I know how deeply you have desired the Truth. In pain have you called out for it, and in joy. Unendingly have you beseeched Me. Show Myself. Explain Myself. Reveal Myself. I am doing so here, in terms so plain, you cannot misunderstand. In language so simple, you cannot be confused. In vocabulary so common, you cannot get lost in the verbiage. So go ahead now. Ask Me anything. Anything. I will contrive to bring you the answer. The whole universe will I use to do this. So be on the lookout; this book is far from My only tool. You may ask a question, then put this book down. But watch. Listen. The words to the next song you hear. The information in the next article you read. The story line of the next movie you watch. The chance utterance of the next person you meet. Or the whisper of the next river, the next ocean, the next breeze that caresses your ear - all these devices are Mine; all these avenues are open to Me. I will speak to you if you will listen. I will come to you if you will invite Me. I will show you then that I have always been there. All ways.

    False Teachings!! 1

After reading the book "The Shack" by William P Young, I found that I had an amazing thrist to know more of God. So I went to Chapters and tried to find something along the lines of the title of this book. I got home super excited and opened the book to start reading, and even while reading the introduction I started to get a "bad" feeling. Unfortunately, I found that my feeling was justified the more and more that I read from the book. So I just wanted to let people know that this book… read more

    • I thought this book was more closer a description of God than any religious doctrine could ever describe 'Him'.

    Interesting & Thought Provoking 4

This review is from: Conversations with God: Book 1 (Hardcover)

This was an interesting and thought provoking book. One has to approach reading it with a very open mind. A person who doesn't believe in God wont pick it up to read and a religious person will not enjoy reading it. It definetly makes one pause to wonder how close to the truth it could be. It took me a while to actually read it, but it was not a waste of time that could have been spent reading another book. Worth the read.

    Truth! Joy! Love! 5

More than ANYTHING else, reading this book and others by NDW has helped me get my life on track. It literally blew the roof off! From understanding how all of life fits together comes enormous power to create for myself, for others and for the world. I now have at my disposal the most amazing toolbox full of tools I could ever imagine to BE, DO and HAVE the most joyous and fulfilled life. Peace of mind too FINALLY! One last thing I have to say also is that it is all so practical and easy… read more

    Amazing!!!! 5

This book changed my life and has set me on a much happier and more fulfilling path. It was not at all what I expected and to be honest, the book infuriated me so much when I tried to read it that I put the book away for months. It shone too much light on some of my staunches beliefs. Once I picked it up again, I could not put it down. It is full of common sense and basic truth. This book is something everyone should read. read more

    What a load of... 1

hooey this was. It's very deceptive, and very believable - but it is in no way, no shape, no form ANY kind of "the truth". As a Christian, I was excited to read it - but it's actually New Ageism disguised under a very thin sheen of Christianity. I actually enjoyed reading it - but afterwards, I became more and more disturbed. Don't waste your time.

    Brilliant 5

CWG: An Excellent Read, 5 Stars. Some may think that NDW just fell off the turnip truck. Perhaps, but he's a fantastic fantasy writer even if he is a little cuckoo for cocoa-puffs. The man has a deeper grasp on life than anyone I know - myself included. Contrary to its title, and to popular belief, CWG is not at all a bible-thumping, you-better-love-God-or-else book. It's about a conversation one man believes to have had with our Creator. Guaranteed to raise an eyebrow of interest on… read more

I enjoyed CwG Book 1 very much. I had the book tucked away on my shelf for 10 years! I finally pulled it off the shelf this past month and read it cover to cover. It is a very enlightening book. Read it with an open mind and enjoy!

I read this book at my friends house. And i was not aware of the impact this book could cause on my life. It really did change my way of seeing life, my hopes, faith. it is the kind of book you can read over and over and still be inspired. It's literally a guide to life, how you can live it, and get through it.

    Life Changing 5

I have read only a portion of it at the bookstore (I am planning to buy it later this week) and I am totally blown away by it. I don't have the words to describe what I feel. What does come to mind is . . . the truth will set you free John 8:32. I have found freedom. I believe that a person intuitively knows the truth. A knowing happens. That is what happened to me while reading this book. My life will never be the same. read more
