    Courting Darkness

The first time I ever read this series was when I happened to buy it for my Mother, she loves romance and woman with power in her reads, as a birthday gift. Fell in love with the series after that and ended up buying the rest for myself. Courting Darkness is marvelous telling of a struggle that has been happening with Camille throughout the Otherworld series. It reveals more of the world that the D'Artigo's are from along, and who they surround themselves with. Honestly, I just cannot get enough of this series. The series isn't flowery, but it does have detailed description, the characters are relateable and seem to face everyday problems from money issues to in-laws. Also, Galenorn just keeps adding to the plot, making it all the better. For those who are just getting out of the teen books and want something to read, I reccomend this! Love it, I look forward to the next one I pick up and see how much more the characters grow!

Ten books and still going strong

Camille D'Artigo has a problem - several, actually. Demons are trying to break the seal between worlds so they can take over Earth, and only she and her sisters have a chance of stopping them. Her fae father has disowned her for joining forces with the Earthside fae Queens. And her father-in-law intends to kill her. After he breaks her - body and spirit. While darker than the previous novels in this urban fantasy series, no character is stronger than the half-human, half-fae Camille. With the support of her sisters and husbands (yes, she has three - common for fae), even these horrific trials can be overcome. I love these novels for the ease in which you can relate to the three sisters. For although they are half fae, it seems that their hearts are just as strong and as fragile as a human's. If you enjoy a little darker fantasy, give this series a try with its first novel, Witchling.

    A Darker D"artigo

Another novel in the D"Artigo sisters lives, and their struggles against the darkness facing earthside. Camille D"Artigo is the main character in this book, and the story focuses on her relationship with her second husband Smoky. Smoky the dragon loves Camille, and as such shares her with the other husbands she loves, and no others. In this story Smoky's father Hyto returns and kidnaps Camille, holding her captive to hurt both her and Smoky for the things they have done to wrong him. I found this book to be excellent, Yasmine Galenorn makes for a great read, she's always very distriptive, and allows for a clear picture of the stroy. In this specific novel I found the over all tone to be a dark, more haunting place. The hardships faced by the characters really made my hurt for them, and hopeful for the future. Over all a strong sotry, and in my opinion this book was a great character builder for both Camille, and her husband Smoky.
