Courting Morrow Little, by Laura Frantz, is the story of Morrow
Little who was raised by her father in the Kentucky wilderness in
the late 1700's.
Her mother and little sister were murdered by the Shawnee when she
was five and her brother was kidnapped at the same time. Although
she grew to become a kind, gracious, and of course, beautiful
woman, she was also racked with bitterness and unforgiveness toward
the Shawnee.
Getting acquainted with two special Shawnee men, her heart begins
to soften as she sees the appreciation and kindness her dad shows
them and as she experiences their kindness for herself.
Morrow is pursued by several men, but the love she finds comes from
the most unlikely of places.
This is a heartwarming book, full of adventure and a few unexpected
twists and turns. I found it started out kind of slow, but I was
shortly captivated and enjoying the tale of love, forgiveness and
adventure.
