The book that starts the journey down the trail of Drizzit and his friends Wulfgar, Regis, Bruenor and Catti-brie. The story is excellent and well worth the purchase price. Even if you don't buy it any true realms fan should read it.

Salvatore really knows how to write a thrilling novel. I have read all of his Forgotten Realms books and they are great. They are the kind of books that deserves an award. I only rated this book 5 stars because that all i could do. It should be about 50.

I think this book was excellent, it's about a Dark Elf who has abandon his own kind and is now living in the upper world. Then there is a war/fight for the better of Ice Wind Dale and he becomes friends with Bruenor the Dwarf. When everything is ok along comes a wizard named Akar Kessell and he posseses the Crystal Shard. He gathers Goblins, Orcs and Giants to fight an on going battle for Ice Wind Dale...
