This book really helped me graduate debt free. It may or may not provide all the answers or explain rising tuition costs...but what the hec' can anybody explain them. I used this book to heighten my awareness about student lending prior to attending University. Thankfully, I'm employed in financial services now and referring clients to read this book! The key is to heighten the awareness prior to the student attending College or University, so they can take their best shot at graduating debt free. Best twenty dollars borrowed!

It's so nice to read something related to finances that is of Canadian content (eh?), especially one that's fun & easy to comprehend. Murray has done a great job in guiding the reader with simple steps to take with financial planning and offers volumes of ideas with regards to cost containment in the 'here & now'.

I often purchase this book as a gift for family +/or friends as they venture off to university; however, this book proves to be a resource guide (and essential tool) for ALL ages/life stages to enjoy. It would be nice to see as part of any school's course curriculum "Money Smarts: The Philosophy According to Murray Baker".

A must for every student. I was notoriously bad at managing my personal finances when a concerned friend gave me a copy of "The Debt Free Graduate". It is impossible to go through this book and not find practical, easy to understand advice and tips that you can actually use. By re-evaluating my finances and using this book as a guideline, I turned myself around and haven’t looked back. In fact, several years later the only debt I owe right now is the one of gratitude to my friend for giving me the book. On many occasions I have given a copy of this book to other people, hoping that they too will find it as beneficial as I did.
