    A Good Read.

Spear's book, Destiny of the Wolf, was definitely not best book of the year for me... It was a mediocre romance book at best. The characters were awful and they weren't developed properly either. I found the story awkward. It was as if it was written more as a script than a book. It was entertaining.

    Good, but a bit predictable

First time I have read any books by Terry Spear. This is the second book in this series about werewolves. Lelandi has come to Silver Town to find out the truth behind her identical twins death. Upon her arrival, she finds her life in danger as she searches for answers. Someone doesn't want her snooping around and wants Larissa's death ruled a suicide to remain that way.

Lelandi soon discovers more than she bargained for. Darien Silver is the Alpha of the pack in Silver Town and was mated to Lelandi's sister. With the arrival of Lelandi, Darien realizes that the woman he thought he was dream mated to was actually Lelandi and not her sister. Dream Mating is being able to see and talk to your potential mate in your dreams. Because Darien has the gift he was able to see Lelandi, and she picked up on it as he is her soul mate. Larissa, Lelandi's sister, ran away to Silver Town and lied to Darien about seeing him in her dreams and many other things which he and Lelandi discover together as they unravel the truth.

Lelandi is a red wolf and Darien is a grey which causes problems of course but we learn of Lelandi's family heritage which is interesting and Darien's as well. The sub-plots make this book a good read.

However, I found it very predictable as in the "who done it and why?". The author gives you different possibilities, but I was still able to guess who it was quite quickly which took away from some of the enjoyment of reading this book. Darien and Lelandi are strong characters, some steamy scenes, all and all again, a good read. I will back track to read the first book in this series.
