A really great book. I love the history it gives on some of the Dragon Age characters. I can't wait to read the next book. Keep on writing!

I could not put this book down! After finishing it in 3 days, I'm left wanting more. Oct. 13th won't come soon enough, as that is when the next book will be released. This book is full of twists and turns, based in a very dark, and mature world. The intrigue continues with each page, and the book only gets better as it goes onward. If you're a fan of fantasy at all, I definitely recommend this book for you! Come on Oct. 13th, and come on November 3rd for the game! I'm only more excited to play it now!

David Gaider's "The Stolen Throne" was not a difficult read. He did an excellent job on the whole. There were a couple of logistical points, and cliche type fantasy type challenges. However, having said that I finished it in less than a week. It was very entertaining and gripping!!

The character development were terrific as was the interactions and conflicts between the main characters.

I read the last 100 pages through a 5 hour marathon. (Yeah I'm a slow reader.) I could not put it down. I read it until 1:30am and could not sleep until 3am. There was a subplot near the ending which really shook me up and hit home pretty hard.

I thought his forte was characters and how they interacted with one another. If the soon to be release video game Dragon Age: Origins has as good relationships as in the book, gamers are in for a real treat!!! If my romance and friendship interests were as in depth as the main character, WOW!!

The book was great BTW. I'm not sure if the game can be as gripping. I've shed a tear or two movie and books. But never a video game. I hope there is a first time for everything.

On another note, if I may. I define a "work of art" if it inspire deep or intense feelings. Whether it be fear, sorrow, joy, exhiliration, anger, loneliness, etc... Dave Gaider hit on quite a few. Some more than others, but then, that's how the story goes.

Dave Gaider is the lead writer for the upcoming PC, PS3 and X-Box game entitled "Dragon Age: Origins". Developed by Bioware.

IMHO, Bioware makes excellent story driven games. Story is as important or possibly more important than gameplay. And Bioware game are top tier productions.
