From Our Editors

This eloquent mystery by Maxine Trottier and exquisitely illustrated by Stella East, is a beautiful story to curl up with on a cold winter's night. The Inuit elders tell a story about a magical night when a tall stone inukshuk comes to life. It begins with a ship from England, trapped in the ice and compelled to remain there for the long, cold winter. One night, the Captain's son finds himself lured from his bed by mysterious sounds across the frozen tundra, and becomes lost. Out of the darkness, a man dressed in fur appears, offering warmth by the fire and the secret of dreams. The boy might find his way to safety, led by ancient stone markers on the horizon in Dreamstones.
