    In a Bank Robber's Shoes

This book takes an entertaining trip though the bank robbing career of Edwin Alonzo Boyd. The author takes us through Boyd's three-year career and numerous heists. The descriptions are so good that I can almost see Boyd stuffing his cheeks with wads of cotton, smearing his eyebrows with mascara and his face with rouge as he prepared for his first drunken heist. There's nothing like being robbed by Bozo the Clown in a blue suit! Amazingly enough, Boyd got away with it and many more (sober) robberies. This book is so well paced and action packed that I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed this fast-paced book. Canada doesn't have many colourful criminals, which is why Edwin Boyd really stands out.

I would have liked this book to have been longer. Other than that, I think it's a great true crime tale.
