Eerie Queerie! (also called Ghost!) by Shuri Shiozu is an
incredible four-volume shonen-ai manga that is full of comedy and
romance, as well as the supernatural. The drawings are great, and
it is written in such a way that I always kept anticipating what
would happen next. Eerie Queerie! is aimed for older teens, over
the age of sixteen.
Mitsuo Shiozu is a boy that is able to see spirits, and so, spirits
sometimes take over his body for their own selfish reasons. Female
spirits tend to possess Shiozu, and as a result, two male
classmates develop crushes on him. Mitsuo becomes friends with
Hasunuma and Ichi. At the end, Mitsuo must make a tough decision of
who he wants as more than just a friend.
The first volume is about Shiozu getting possessed by two different
spirits, but in the later volumes, there is more of a story that
does not involve Shiozu getting possessed so often.
The story is just amazing; I highly recommend everyone to give this
manga a try, though I think girls may enjoy it more.
