This book is considered as both controversial and confusing in the fact that Diane has published both Reiki and non Reiki symbols. Diane Stein has written an extensive book from both her personal experience and research into related esoteric practices. Taking a circuitous route to becoming a Reiki Master she has compiled an interesting book on the information she has learned and practiced.

I am currently studying Reiki and found Diane Stein's book extremely helpful. She deals in-depth with the history of Reiki which enables the reader to better understand its purpose and how to apply it in one's own life. It is well written and easily understood. I highly recommend it to any student and/or practionner.
