Everyone Poops

by Taro Gomi

EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT CORP. | July 1, 2006 | Hardcover

"Everyone Poops by Taro Gomi is part biology textbook, part sociological treatise and all celebration of a very natural process. Both my daughters begged me to read the book over and over again. They marveled at the enormity of the elephant`s poop and searched with the skill of a scientist for the tiny specks which represent bug poop. The text is simple and straightforward but not without humor.

As part of the OVERALL training materials this book is a cute, fun addition!
It makes it a little easier on kids who are just learning to hear that everyone does it. Especially after a year or two of grimaces from parents and coin tosses over who gets to change the poopy diaper. Can't really blame them for not wanting to do it in the open.

THis book is so stupid. The concept is incredibly childish, even for my 3 year old child. Of cousre everyone poops1 WHo would be lifelss enough to write a book about that. In my opinion this book belongs in the trash, not hte shelves.

What a cute book. Perfectly funny and, well, poopy. Everything a 2-5 yr old finds so hilarious. A quick, huge hit in our household. Our 3 yr old giggles at the great pictures and our 5 yr old loves learning to read the large print. Have fun with this one and lighten up!

From Our Editors

Children aren't prudish about it. In fact, most kids get a good giggle out of natural bodily functions! So what better way to explain the nature of potty training than with a bold, basic book about poop? The wildly popular Everyone Poops, translated by Amanda Stinchecum, shows grownups pooping, children pooping, animals, bugs and birds pooping. As author Taro Gomi demonstrates, why not be direct about a fact of life as natural and essential as eating?
