The Eye of the World: Book One of 'The Wheel of Time'

by Robert Jordan
As told by: Robert Jordan

Tom Doherty Associates | November 15, 1990 | Mass Market Paperbound

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

Sadly, a WASTE of time.

This was one of those series where I really hoped for something to happen but never did. I read the first four books hoping they would get better but they just became more dull than the last. I have a hard time believing why so many others think this is a good series. It's the worst collection I have ever read. There's no action. No twists. No intrigue. Just a lot of walking and talking about nonsense. I really regret reading these books. Hopefully some of you will heed this warning and buy something else like R.R. Williams, Goodkind, OR John Marco. This series should be called The Waste of Time instead.
